I have barely had my Fitbit 3 a month, and there is a black line going down the center of the screen. Anyone know what to do about this?

This is not working.  It won't do a hard restart.  I will be contacting support.  Thanks for your help

My charge 3 started with the vertical lines last night. I haven’t bumped it or dropped it or anything out of the ordinary. I did the restart as instructed, no change. What is my next step?

I contacted Fitbit customer service directly via chat. They walked me through several steps and determined I needed a replacement since it couldn’t be fixed.
Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for your reply. The short restart works but doesn’t change the lines on the display. The long restart does not work, I’ve tried it a dozen times.
The heart rate is turned on. I’ve turned it off and back on and no change.

My Fitbit is only 6 months old, how do I claim on warranty?

I tried everything with no luck. I finally went to the FitBit website and found contact us. I set up a chat; they walked me through some other steps, and it was determined that I would need a replacement. They sent me to another rep who took my info (same device or an upgrade at a discounted rate). I got the replacement several days after.
Hope this helps.

Followed the steps multiple times. Did not fix the display. Confirmed that I purchased this particular device in May so not even six months old.

I would suggest doing what I did. I contacted FitBit via chat. It took me a bit to find it under the CONTACT US link. I chatted with someone over the course of 20 minutes, following their instructions to try to reset the device. After failing to get my Fitbit to restore, they offered a replacement as I was still under warranty.
Good luck.

I’ve tried this several times and it’s not made any difference. I’ve still got my original packaging but not my receipt

I contacted FitBit through their website – it’s under Contact Us, and I chose to chat with a representative. I explained that I tried all the fixes suggested in the boards, and the rep walked me through some other steps. It was determined that it couldn’t be fixed, so they replaced it as it was still under warranty.
Good luck.

Hi, I have tried the hard reboot but it doesn't seem to work for me. After plugging it in when the screen goes blank I hold the button down. It shows the battery progress. Then it flashes the progress bar and then immediately goes to the smiley face and then back to the battery progress. It only vibrates 3 times.

I finally contacted Fitbit directly. They had me do a bunch of things and ended up getting me a replacement as it was still under warranty.

I have repeatedly tried all the steps and may display has mote lines than before it appears that any day now I will not be able to see anything displayed due to the lines. Additionally, my steps and sleep are not be counted accurately.

Contact FitBit directly. I had a chat session with a rep who walked me through all kinds of steps, which didn’t resolve anything. Since I was still under warranty, they replaced it free of charge.

It seems there is an issue with the Charge 3 display that the company is
not addressing for everyone. I remember wanting a Fitbit to keep me on
track for a new healthier lifestyle. I have been disappointed time and time
again by the functions that don’t work and the display issue. Maybe one day
the will fix the issue for everyone. I don’t like spending money on
defective products.
