Welcome to the Community @Gilcole! Thanks for letting me know you've charged your tracker overnight already. Nice way to go!

Have you tried what @SunsetRunner suggested here?

Looking forward to your reply!

Thanks for jumping in here @Maggiewalasik and for letting me know what you've tried so far! Since the restart did not help, I'd recommend restarting your tracker by using the 15-second method:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again

Hope that helps, keep me posted!

When on the charger and plugged in, hold your finger on the side button for
about 10 to 15 seconds until you see a smiley face. This should work. If
not, change the watch clock face in your app. It won't look like it is
doing anything, but let it complete the process. That should fix it too.
You can change it back to your original clock once it is working again. I
wish FitBit would read the forums, because this is clearly a software, not
hardware issue and they don't appear to be concerned. They will lose a lot
of customers and go out of business if they don't! Anyway, hope one of
these two solutions works for you!

I've had my fitbit 3 on the charger. Nothing. I hold the side down. Nothing. I try to change the clock face, the app doesn't recognize my fit bit. Unable to connect. Last sync was at 11:20 last night. It was working fine 6 hours ago then went black.

I'm not sure this will solve your problem, but have you tried unpairing it
from the app, then holding down the side button for 15 seconds while it is
still plugged in and see if it resets it? Like I said, not sure it will
fix it but maybe worth a shot. I can understand your frustration. My
Charge 3 has done the black screen thing twice in the two months I've owned
it.

Did you try resetting the Charge 3 by plugging it in and holding down the
side button (indent part) for about 15 seconds until it shows a smiley
face? If not, try that and see if it will reset the device so you can
repair it with the app. Sorry, I wasn't entirely sure that would work and
it may be another technical issue. Hopefully, that will fix it!

I had the same thing happen today.  Blank screen, but it vibrated when I pushed the button.  Just holding down the button didn't work, but it did work in the charger after holding it 15 or more seconds.  I am glad I was around my charger when this happened.

So many issues with this Charge 3!!!!!! 😞

Similar issue. One day it was fine, then suddenly the display stopped working. This happened a couple of days ago, and I had this tracker for about a month. Tried pushing the side button, just vibrates. At least it still syncs with the phone, so I can still see a progress somewhere; but this is annoying. What's the point of a watch that you can't read the time on?
