Charge 3 flickering between screens

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit charge 3 keeps changing and vibrating randomly through the main clock screen and a screen that says “notifications and screen wake”. I can’t use it because of it’s continuous vibration. I’ve had it for a year now and havent one problem with it until now. It is also telling me that my resting HR is 140bpm when it’s usually 65bpm.  I have tried restarting it by plugging it into my computer many times but no luck.

Hi there @Stephm88, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided about your Charge 3's behavior and for troubleshooting this issue prior to posting here.

I recommend performing a long restart by doing the following:

  • Plug the device into the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable.
  • Plug the device into the charging cable again.
  • The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

If the long restart doesn't work either, please check on the Fitbit app if your Charge 3 is still syncing. If so, change the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display. Don't worry if you cannot see anything on the display by now, this process is done through the Fitbit app.

Let me know the outcome.

Hi!

I tried the long restart multiple times but it won't work or shut off. I think the screen is malfunctioning even more now and it won't stay on charge once its plugged in. More and more each day I try it, small black lines are showing up across the screen yet I havent damaged it at all. When I changed the clock face, the HR monitor is no longer reading my HR at all and is still having problems with the screen. What can I do?

Thanks

Hello!

Now my Fitbit will not keep a charge at all as well as the other problems I mentioned in the last post. I got it charged to 90% and then wore it to bed. When I woke up in the morning it was dead and I had to plug it into the charger to have the smiley face show up and say it was at 0% charged. Normally my Fitbit lasts a week-2 weeks! I hope you can help. Thank you.

Hello. My charge 3 keeps vibrating also. I’ve restarted it several times. It still syncs. Doesn’t stay long enough to charge though. Please advice on what u should do. Thank you.
