This is not a solution. I live in Arizona, and received 77 floors walking a flat skidpad with no wind and humidity, very warm. And this is on the replacement! Replaced for......inaccurate floor count. Smiley Surprised It also loses pairing daily, and can sometimes take five minutes to synch.

i can disable floors, and hide that tile. But, Fitbit advertises that it counts floors accurately, so that’s not a reasonable option. BTW, my wife has a Charge3 also, same deal.

My Charge2 was a far more reliable and stable device. I foresee it coming out of the closet. FitBit, we've been with you for over five years now and many models. Please improve this product. If real solutions are not forthcoming, these will be our last FitBits.

by the way, kind of bought this expecting the promised blood ox feature to show up within a few months. Still not here. What’s the timeline for that to be implemented? Please share.Smiley Happy

I have  come up with a solution, I think.  Go to your dashboard and hit the edit button on the top right corner.  Then uncheck the floors button and hit save.

Hope this helps

That will hide the errors so I don't have to see them, but it does not do
anything to fix the problem with the altimeter falsely sensing Floor counts.

I agree.  Hiding the tile is not a solution.

My experience is that the Charge 3 altimeter counts floors fairly accurately IF floors are indoor.  My outdoor walks on fairly level neighbourhood and even lawn mowing result in wildly fluctuating elevation changes hence false floor counts.  I have already been awarded a Hot Air Balloon badge for 2000 lifetime floors mainly walking on level ground!

From what I gathered from this forum, Charge 2 altimeter is a lot more accurate.  What about the other Fitbit devices like Versa and Ionic?  Is Charge 3 the only model that is plagued with this defect?

My Fitbit does count hill climbs, but generally it seems to be reasonably accurate. I wonder if the altimeter is less effective and thus counts floors "floorlessly" because of the waterproofing of the Charge 3. I also suspect that this is the weak point on some devices that cause water entry.

My wife has an charge 2 and I am charge 3. Charge 2 works fine to detect the floors, while charge 3 is extremely flattering. Send to be a design fault or bug in charge 3

Same here. Both our Charge 2s count floors just fine. We walk together and they both C2's give the same, accurate floor count. Both C2s had cracked crystals so bought charge 3s for Christmas. Neither C3 gives accurate floor counts nor do they show thee same innaccuracy - different highly inflated counts.
Did the hard reset, etc etc, then replaced mine yesterday with a brand new one - and exact same problem.
I do not believe there's 'atmospherics' or anything else - like the crappy crystals on the Charge 2s, floor count issues on the charge 3s are obviously a software/hardware issue FitBit doesn't want to address.
The least they could do was produce a decent crystal for the Charge 2s - which I'm back to using with the cracked crystal till parts arrive - it's not like they're a tough fix.

The floors count on my Charge 3 seemed to be ok for the first couple of weeks...had similar results to my wife's Ionic.  Now, it has simply crazy results. Disappointing.
