I think there's an actual issue with my fitbit but thought I'd post in here to see if anyone else was experiencing a similar issue.
I bought my charge 3 just under two weeks ago. Last Friday, I noticed my screen looked faded and had white lines running through it. I have tried to reset it three times as generally suggested with no such luck.
I haven't damaged it in any way and I've continued to wear it in the shower as I wasn't concerned due to it being waterproof. The day the faded screen/lines appeared was when the battery was very low - but that's the only thing I can think of and surely a low battery should'nt lead to this?
Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated before I have to take it back. I've tried to add a picture to this thread but can't for some reason.
Many Thanks

I have a Charge 3. And am receiving exact replacement. They offered to either provide exact replacement or give 50% off any other fitbit unit.

I also have this issue. I have rebooted cleared user data but the lines are still there. They appeared this morning. I have filled in an online form for customer service but did not receive an acknowledgement that my request has been submitted.

I might add. My Charge 3 started out with lines, then went to a black screen. Tried to do a factory reset and do the initial setup, BUT you need to be able to see the code that is displayed on the Fitbit to do that. Black screen=no code viewable. Longer this goes, funnier it gets, if I wasn’t ou $100.

Well ...after 3 months due to the coronacrisis I got a textmessage from my retailer that I received a coupon through Fitbit .So I became curious and it was a full refund .Happy that my concern was taken seriously .So i got myself a charge 4 and my trust was restored 😉

Success! A week after logging my issue, customer services replied. I sent a photo of my screen to them. They told me I was within the 2 year warranty and then emailed me a link for a replacement Charge 3 or 50% off a different model. I chose 50% of an Inspire HR. Too many people having the white lines issue with the Charge 3, although it’s been great u til now, I didn’t want to risk it happening again..
Very pleased with with the result. Good luck to everyone else!

I had this issue in both 2018 AND 2019 - on DIFFERENT fitbits - I kept replacing them. The last one I have had since 8/2019 and am now having the syncing/not connected, etc issues.

On my second device within a year and a half. They replaced the first time. Over a total year from first purchase. Offered 25 % off. The guy told me should last 7 - 10 years. I get 2 and can't last for a year and a half in total. No help considering I am reading about more and more cases. Looking for a different brand now. Once I get it, twice something is wrong with the product.

The guy I had was awful. Could not explain how I got not one but 2 of the ones that last less than 8 months each.

I have the same problem with the lines in my charge 3 display. I've tried both the reset and changing the clock face several times without any luck. Has anyone found a solution to this or is the display defective?
