Charge 3 isn't registering sleep

Getting really frustrated! Tried all the suggestions but my Fitbit does not track sleep. Fully charged, right place on my wrist, leave it to track auto, nothing! Add it manually and it says there is already a sleep log for that time, where? All I want to do is get sleep stats and quality each night. Can anyone help?

I understand how are you feeling and appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this sleep issue. I recommend taking a look at the following steps and make sure you already tried those instructions:

  1. Manually sync the Fitbit. See instructions in the help article: How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
  2. Restart the Fitbit. See instructions in the help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the Fitbit on your non-dominant hand.
  4. If steps 1-3 don't work, I suggest manually logging your sleep to reflect the time slept. See instructions in the help article: How do I change my sleep history?

Let me know the outcome. 🙂

I followed all of your advice and this morning it says I have had 58 mins sleep, when I know I went to sleep at 10 pm and got up at 6 am, so I tried to input my sleep manually and the device tells me that I can’t do that because there is already a sleep stage in there for the same period of 10 .30 pm to 6.30 am! What am I meant to do with that?

Quite simply the sleep tracking on the charge three doesn't work as promised for anybody!!!
You can follow and execute all the advice you can find online it doesn't matter because it simply doesn't work and never did.
It doesn't track anything until your asleep for about two hours and it may sometimes record  three and half hours of your eight hours sleep.
So simply it does not function as promised!!!

We've been lied to!!!

@Jaguarnat I have to agree with you. After several weeks of trying everything suggested by @AlejandraFitbit I'm ready to give up. The last couple of nights I didn't even bother wearing my Charge 3 to bed. I've come to the realization that I'm wearing a $100+ step tracker. 🙄

I have managed to get it to register sleep by using “sleep now” and “I’m awake now” manually each night and morning, but I still can’t get the sleep stages to work. If I leave it to auto pick up my sleep I get nothing. I have been into discover and sleep stages is definitely turned on. Anyone got any further advice?

@Roborough Same thing here. I have tried the 'manual' method of telling it when I go to sleep and when I wake up but I get the same crappy results. If I was the only one having this issue I'd try and get another Charge 3, but it appears so many people are experiencing the same thing that I'm assuming it's a bug in the design (or software). It's too bad, I really wanted the sleep tracking feature to work. 😥

p.s. I love how they mark the message as "solved" just because someone from Fitbit replied, even though the reply didn't fix the problem. 🤣
