Charge 3 keeps breaking

I bought my Charge 3 in January 2019 and since then I have had 3 replacements, I haven't had a single one that has lasted longer than a month and I'm getting a bit sick of it. It always goes wrong after I come out of the shower wearing it, then it starts glitching out, vibrating lots, then the battery will go from 90% charge to 20% in ten minutes. This has happened 3 times now so is it a problem with fitbits in water? Or have I just been very unlucky?

Since I received my Charge 3 as a gift in 12/18, I have had 3 die on me. The longest lasting one was for a whopping seven months. The current (and third unit) was replaced this May and died two days ago. Does anyone have any experience with the Charge 4? I’m about over Fitbit, although I love the idea of the product.

I too would be interested to know if the charge 4 is more reliable than the
3.

I am now on my 5th Charge 3. I had to pay again because my warranty was ended. I got my new one, and it lasted less than a week. So this is my second under the new warranty. After this, I give up.

i know someone who has had one for years, but her daughter has one and it keeps dying. I no longer wear it in the water. So much as I hate to say it, I think it’s me. Too bad because I love the watch and my gray and purple bands.

I can’t even count the number of times I have had to replace my Fitbit 3 - I too don’t seem to have a problem with an old Fitbit 2.  I get so upset that each time I have to send my Fitbit back and loose almost 10 to 15 days of no tracking. Even when I explain that to customer service - they just don’t even seem to care or make any exceptions for people who have continuous problems.  Why is it so hard to just send a voucher for a new Fitbit rather than getting a “refurbished” one - which, by the way - my one month new Fitbit was replaced with refurbished one - not satisfactory to me.

im planning on giving up with the Fitbit brand - the product is unreliable and the customer support is subpar.

i normally don’t complain this much - but I’ve had it with this brand - I hear the New Apple Watch could be a contender and their customer support is so much better.

Shoot! The Apple watches are so expensive, though.

I was considering Garmin. Because I’m having the exact same experience now with the Fitbit Versa Light that I switched to!

Anybody else have recommendations for a good brand? One with a good app or that works with a comprehensive third-party app.

I was so so frustrated with the charge 3 always being faulty and the
horrible customer service that I have moved on to another brand. My family
and friends know that I don't vouch for this particular fitbit!!

I had the same problem. I had a charge2 and bought the charge 3 because I wanted a waterproof one. I had two replacements which they died after wearing them just once on shower. At the third device I decided to never use it in water and it still works fine. If I knew, I would have stayed with my charge2 which still works fine.

Did all if the above, this is a replacement just little over a year and it’s got grey lines down the screen. Been offered a replacement or 50% off another model. Why should we have to pay more to get a newer Fitbit, surely we should at least be offered the amount we paid off a new model!
