@Moomin21 Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with this. Is there any reason you need the Serial number. As you mentioned it shows on the box so if you don't see it there due to damage there isn't much that can be done. Regarding the tracker you don't mention any troubleshoots so I suggest you restart it by doing the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Disconnect your tracker from the charging cable.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi

Thank you for your help, I have restarted my fitbit as you suggested but the missing pixls line, is still there. The reason for asking about the serial number was as I have only had this Fitbit since june this year it should still be under warranty but without a serial number doing something about it will prove difficult

Thanks

I have been having the same issue for a few weeks. Started with a black screen and no data so I just did my workout anyway then noticed it on 30 mins later but with missing pixels. It’s like striations through the display and been that way for a few weeks. I restarted as you suggested above with no resolution.

Please advise. Thank you!

Hello, I'm also having an issue with my charge 3 where there are many missing pixles suddenly and getting worse by the day. The display is also very dim and impossible to see when outside.

@Winston99 Thank you for participating in our Fitbit forums. Since you mentioned that the screen of your Charge 3 is dim and has missing pixels, please restart it as described in this help article.

After this, monitor your tracker and see if the issue gets fixed.

Hope this helps.

Of course I’ve read through the entire thread and tried all the non-fixes before adding my comments. It’s a faulty device and needs replacing. Same as the thousands of others. Could you please escalate my case. Thank you.
