Charge 3 not syncing automatically

my charge three only updates on my phone if I do a manual swipe. I’ve looked at instructions however the all day sync toggle doesn’t even exist in the app.

The option to turn on/off the "all day sync" function has been removed from the app. The strange thing is, that it is now on by default and cannot be turned off.

 

I'm not sure how often it's supposed to sync on its own. Are you leaving the app running in the background when not in use and does it always remain within bluetooth range?
