I start and finish a walk by selecting it in Exercise on my Charge 3. During the walk it appears to be counting steps, pace, calories, distance etc. But when I look at my phone afterwards it hasn’t tracked the whole walk. Both of these were round walks but as you can see only part was tracked. It got the time right as I did start at 12:04 but it missed the first part of the track.

Since you mentioned that your Charge 3 is not recording your walking data properly, I'd like you to restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. I have done the simple Reboot several times. When I follow the next instructions the tracker doesn't turn on after 8 seconds so I don't get the smile icon.
'press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted'

@Bitfit_Janet, thank you for trying the restart process. I'd like to know what happens after the restart. Does it go directly to the clock face or does it just stay turned off?
