Charge 3 screen and selection unresponsive

My screen went dark yesterday when I could not start any exercise. Had to wait until I left the gym, went home, plugged in and attempted reset until "smiley face - bug?" followed by swiping all the way to settings and selecting normal brightness.

Went blank (or maybe dim) 2 weeks ago as well.

Received "attaboy" for the procedure I posted to reset same just hours prior to it going blank again.

Have you got it working again, mine will do the startup bar and smiley face on restart but then nothing. Also been dull screen for 2 weeks #knownfault?

I posted a detailed procedure online for Dim screen involving going to a
dark room, press the side button to display the clock face, swipe to the
left to change screen, continue swiping left( it might be a total of 4
times) The settings 3 lines with circles on them should be displayed.
Tap on the screen. The top of the display should be Brightness. Tapping it
should take you through 3 possible settings for brightness. Dim, Auto, And
Normal. Normal works for me and I still do not know how auto works .
Press the button a few times after you have the visible brightness and step
out of the dark room.
Something has changed in the past month because this seems to be showing up
frequently on the help menu at FITBIT.
Another setting ( 2 screens down from Brightness - swipe up) is sleep mode.
This has been reported to be a similar condition.
Based on your address I can only assume you are the hacker that created the
problem.
