Charge 3 screen dead

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The screen on my Charge 3 hasn't lit up at all for the past few weeks. I have tried restarting numerous times, and the screen is just dead. Before it went completely dead, the brightness got dimmer and dimmer in various sections of the screen. It still tracks activity and syncs to my iPhone fine, but I'd like to be able to see the screen.

Scrolling through other posts, it seems like this is a very common problem with the Charge 3.

I've only had this Fitbit for 1.5 years. My previous Fitbits have lasted way longer than this.

Please help.

I have been experiencing exactly the same thing since the summer, seems like since the last update. I can barely read it now. Interested to know what kind of reply you get as this seems to be very common.

@scavacini @RFine Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your Charge 3 screens not working. @scavacini thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Since the issue persists I have created a ticket so our Support team can further assist you via email.

@RFine you don't mention any troubleshoots so I suggest you restart your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Disconnect your tracker from the charging cable.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi. I have tried all of the above as well as other suggestions from
different threads. I’ve rebooted the device as well as cleared the data. I
also no longer get text notifications so I have gone through many steps of
unpairing from my phone, disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth, etc etc.
The notifications still don’t work and the screen is almost completely
dead, even in a dark room.
