I did all of that and my screen is still very faded. It's not even either, like its more faded in the certain, like a ring.

Hi, I have the same problem, as in many other threads. Screen has progressively gone black. None of the procedure proposed (changing clock, restarting, long restart) worked. Could please at least tell us if this is a software or a hardware problem? Would a DIY screen replacement work?

Exactly the same issue here. Over time, the display started fading to the point, where I have can barely make out anything on the display in a dark room at night. Brightness is set to normal. For the last week or two, I´ve been noticing the screen brightness going dim uneven. It has gone pretty much completely dark in the middle and I can make out tiny traces of something showing up around the corners of the screen.
Did you manage to solve it somehow?
I really do hope there is a solution for this, because while my tracker is way past warranty at this price point, I´d expect it to last a lot longer than 3 years.

Hi Edson, thanks for your reply. Unluckily, my issue was really a hardware one. I learned the workaround you mentioned quite early and it did help me a lot of times, when the display of my Charge 3 wouldn't turn on at all, in my case though, I was able to see a very faint outline of the display trying to display something very faintly, but the center part of the display was completely unreadable, as good as off.
I was contacted by Fitbit staff though and we worked out a discount on a new tracker, which is a really nice gesture and do enjoy the NFC funtionality on my new charge 4, although I would have preferred to be able to use my old charge 3 a few years longer, if for nothing else, then for ecological reasons at least.
Cheers,
Ivan

I sent this problem to the web Developers, I told them when they did an update they took away High brightness from our settings, now it just says Auto or normal, and auto is super dim now you can't read any text

Indeed. My charge 3 has the same problem since a few days now. The sides are faded , also is the centre of the screen. Occured at once, without doing anything. I changed the clock appearance on my screen now, but none of them are fully readable on the screen. It stays fade.
IT and support, please do a reversed backup. This isn’t the way you threat customers.

Thanks for visiting the Fitbit Community, @Super13 @Gtje.
@Super13 The Fitbit Charge 3 should let you set the brightness to Auto, Dim or Normal. These have been the only options available since it was released. You can check old videos on Youtube that show how to change the brightness to only those 3 options.
@Super13 @Gtje If after following the troubleshooting steps shared above you continue having difficulties with your Fitbit device's brightness, please get in touch with Customer Support via chat or give them a call. Please click here to get connected.
