I've been awake since 3am but the app shows that I've slept from 3:30- 8am and I'm typing this at 7:45! Clearly awake 🙄 I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well as resetting the watch and synced everything but it's still totally wrong. The watch says 'sleep not tracked' which is somewhat accurate but does anyone have any ideas how to fix this or having similar experiences?

Welcome on board @Holly77, it's nice to see you here! Thanks for already troubleshooting this inconvenience with your sleep data. Nice way to go!
I'd recommend taking a look at: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
Also, make sure that you're getting a solid heart rate reading , since sleep stages requires consistent HR. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight. Also, double check that your watch is charged up.
Additionally, I'd recommend checking the following that could be preventing you from receiving sleep stages:
For more information about why you see your sleep pattern, tap or click the sleep record that shows your sleep pattern.
In addition, I think it's great that you update the Fitbit app to the latest version (iOS and Android). I always recommend keeping both the tracker and the Fitbit app up to date with the latest versions.
In regards to "Sleep not tracked" on your Charge 3. We are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to assist you in the meantime.

This problem is far from solved, I have followed every direction to the letter that support has given me, 2 updates ago my problem finally seamed to be solved, I finally got detailed sleep graphs just by wearing my watch to bed, but not so fast! The next two updates to the ios app for my phone undid it again. Even though support says "yes, your device is recording your heart rate consistently through the night, and we can see it, for some unknown reason it is not picking up that you are sleeping." Their solution after many calls to support is to enter the hours I THOUGHT I WAS ASLEEP MANUALLY! How am I supposed to know the time I actually fell asleep? If I watched the clock all night I wouldn't sleep at all, that is an intelligent solution, isn't it. Why did I buy a watch that is supposed to track sleep if I have to guess about when I actually fell asleep?? If I do enter a guessed time manually after seeing again that it did not track sleep, I do get a detailed sleep graph, is it accurate??? Who knows? I should have saved my money and put it toward an Apple watch!!! I am not happy with my purchase at all !!

So frustrating! I share your pain. My new Charge 3 also tracks me as sleeping when I’ve been awake for 2 hours! It slays me when I get a big congratulations! Notification on my dashboard when I definitely did NOT reach my sleep goal. This is the third Fitbit I’ve had over the years and the first time I’ve had inaccurate sleep tracking. Fitbit needs to fix this. Very frustrating.

The total hours slept do not add up to the times. This has been off since the last update. Three examples: sleep at 11:17pm - awake at 7:11am. Sleep total:5 hr 53 min; 1 hr 1 min awake.
Sleep: 9:09 pm - awake at 7:08 am. Sleep total 8 hr 51 min.
Sleep: 11:07pm - awake 5:59 am. Sleep total 5 hr 48 min.

Same problem since the beginning of use of Charge 3. Had no problem with Charge 2. Now my fitbit even won't light up when I turn wrist, only when I hit screen or push on the side. Really frustrating! Been reading all recommendations and nothing helps. Fitbit, please help me!

Seriously thinking of going to apple watch unless they fix this. Not even sure Apple watch tracks sleep.
