Hi everyone, my Charge 3 is paired with my phone and can sync but when I activate exercise mode to go for running Charge 3 wont connect to my phone. It keeps saying "connecting". So when I go for running it wont track my distance. Any experience and advise how to fix this, thanks a lot

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @armen_marti! Thanks for the details provided about your experience with the Connected GPS.
Connected GPS is available for all supported phones with GPS sensors. Have you checked if your mobile device is included in our list of Supported Devices? You can find the list here.
Please check: Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?
When you choose a GPS exercise, your device vibrates when your phone finds a GPS signal. If your phone doesn't find a signal immediately, keep in mind that environmental factors including tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and even thick cloud cover can interfere with your phone’s ability to connect to GPS satellites.
For best results, wait for your phone to find the signal before you start your workout. However, if you don't want to wait you can start your workout and GPS tracking begins when your phone finds a signal.
Note that your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a GPS signal. In this scenario, your total distance calculated for the workout may be slightly less accurate than if GPS data were available for the entire duration. For more information, see How accurate is GPS?
Let me know if this helps.

For me same things happens, but sometimes, which is like 1 in 10 times my charge 3 connects to my mi 9t which is not in incompatible device list. So it just keeps saying connecting usually and it never connects while exercising.
Do you have some other solution to this, because this way charge 3 is a just peace of jewelry.
Thanks

This doesn’t resolve the problem.

Prior to the most recent update my connected gps worked fine. I am running at the same location every morning with no buildings around. Strava, which also uses the phones gps tracks the entire workout without issue. I have disconnected the charge 3 from my phone and synced it again with no change. This is a connectivity issues from your newest update that needs to be addressed. I am using a Samsung galaxy S9.

I've been having the same problem as well since the update. My Charge 3 has not been able to connect to GPS since that update. I thought maybe it would fix itself if I did the long reset procedure but that doesn't appear to work anymore either.

First I have to open Fitbit app, then press search GPS and only then on Fitvit charge 3 i can connect to phone and gps ( phone is mi 9t).
But even so, fitbit charge 3 does not accurately track runinng, nor distance, nothing. There is just line , no correct map of running, and all data are always utterly wrong. Complete dissapointment

Hey everyone, I contacted fitbit directly and they sent me a help file to go through. It appears after the update it changes permissions somehow.
Goto: settings - apps - fitbit - permissions - location
This is where mine reverted back to "allow only while using the app"
Change it to "allow all the time"
It seems to have fixed my issues, I won't be able to do a proper test till tomorrow morning but it worked fine during a quick test!
