Charge 3 won't pair or sync to my phone

I can't get my fitbit charge 3 to sync or even be recognized by my phone. I've turned the phone off and on, bluetooth off and on, Uninstall and reinstall the app, restarted the fitbit, followed the help article. NOTHING is working. My charge 3 isn't even a device on the app anymore and bluetooth can't find it to set it back up. What now?

Hi there @Abred, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3 is no longer pairing to your phone, I understand where your concern is coming from. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for already trying to solve the issue prior to posting here, I'll be glad to continue helping you.

As per the description of your post, it seems that your tracker is asking to be paired. It looks like your Charge 3 has been only unpaired from the Fitbit app but not from the phone's Bluetooth settings. That being said, please try the steps below:

  • Remove your Charge 3 from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Charge 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 3.

If you can't get started with your tracker, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes.

Hi there @Abred, thanks for getting back and for the update.

I appreciate you had followed the tips and recommendations provided above. Since this sounds a bit more serious, I've created a support case on your behalf - you should receive an email from Customer Support at the email you used to register with the Community forums. Note that we may take a bit long to get back to you since due to recent events affecting our operations, support options are limited and wait times are longer than usual.
