Charge 3 won’t pair or sync with iOS devices

I have tried all the tricks of turning off, turning back on Bluetooth on iPhone, putting Charge 3 in the charger and holding the side button until the 🙂 appears, holding my mouth sideways, etc. Nothing is working. It seems to have started after the latest software update on my iPhone. Is anyone else having problems?

Unfortunately, I didn’t fix it. I think it’s a software incompatibility issue with the new iOS upgrade.

I went to my Bluetooth settings in my phone/iPad, clicked on the charge 3 that was still showing even though I removed it in my Fitbit app, click forget the charge 3, my phone immediately rediscovered my charge 3, and it began syncing. I have iPhone 6.  I hope it fixes yours, too. I was reluctant to answer anyone after the warning by Fitbit about too many postings, or something like that. They didn’t provide this solution, someone on the forum did, so trying to pay it forward! Best of luck.

Go to your Bluetooth setting in your phone, and forget the charge 3 that should still be showing. Your phone should then rediscover your charge 3 and the setup will complete. My iPad and iPhone won’t both sync, but when one does, the other device is updated, too. Strange. But at least one should work. Good luck.

Thank you tried it to no avail. I guess Fitbit doesn't want to let problem be known. I still think it is an Apple issue.best regards

All I know is so far it has worked for me. Did you go to the app and put in new fitbit, ? Try that , as I can’t remember if I did that on my phone or iPad know I did on one of them. And other I just did the Bluetooth settings. And have been paying more attention to it to make sure it syncs daily , I think I only. Really lost one day since it only keeps. Info on your fitbit about 7 days,
Good luck hope you get yours working again

So I was just able to fix mine after days of it not working. I thought I had tried everything but here is what worked. Go into your iphone, Go to Settings, Go to Bluetooth and remove your fitbit under the "My Devices" list. Then try syncing...Good Luck!

Sweeter28: You say this happens every time with iOS update.  So after past updates, WHAT DID YOU DO to get synced again?

Its not an Apple problem. Have friend with a Charge 4 and my phone found it and synced with no problem.  Still wont find the Charge 3. So it is a Charge 3 problem. I deleted it from Bluetooth and it will not find it at all.

it appears - reading Reviews online- the Charge 3 is a lemon. Fitbit should have reimbursed/ replaced this for those who bought it. They and Amazon should not still be selling it

NanaNa123 I've had mine working for 1 day yesterday, after 2 weeks of communicating with Fitbit direct email, plus community. I'd like to hear if yours keeps working now. Please let me know. Being in lockdown during virus is one thing, but having a previously valued fitbit completely locked down again this morning, after spending many more hours yesterday renewing all the settings, is quite sickening. And this fitbit and app are supposed to be helping our health. I am crying with desperation now. If only Fitbit would admit that we can now no longer use our device and there is nothing they can do to fix it. I had recently also bought a new Band. I want to have my fitbit work for me. I don't want to 'invest' in a new and Charge 4. I cannot really see how or why I can 'invest' in another product. For some the cost may not concern them, but for many it is a substantial 'investment'.

The recommendation to remove the Charge 3 from the list of found Bluetooth devices worked for me.  After I forgot the device and re-found it, I was able to successfully re-sync my Charge 3.  Thank you for your help.

My charge 3 has to have this process done daily to sync. So very disappointed. I too can afford to replace my charge 3.

I can’t believe the only response I have had from Fitbit was a warning of “violation” by posting on this site.
