Charge 3 won’t pair or sync with iOS devices

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have tried all the tricks of turning off, turning back on Bluetooth on iPhone, putting Charge 3 in the charger and holding the side button until the 🙂 appears, holding my mouth sideways, etc. Nothing is working. It seems to have started after the latest software update on my iPhone. Is anyone else having problems?

Mine is iPhone SE. and mine stays paired maybe 2 weeks to 3 weeks and I have to forget it then let it find it again. This is getting to be a pain .. but until someone figures it out at fitbit or iPhone. Guess we’ll all have to keep doing this.

Afraid so but remember it’s not your phone but the Apple iOS software,
Updating Apple iPhones etc should be voluntary and reversible. That’s the problem

You are so right they only want you to up grade to a charge 4 so Apple can change again

This latest iPhone update is really annoying for Fitbit. Currently not
syncing still but I keep doing the same quick fix as before which only
seems to last a couple of days before no syncing again.

Same here
When record sleep there for 1 day then when you sync next sleep night it loses the data and shows just the bare minimum.
Emailed Fitbit customer service no reply
Fitbit days are coming to an end
How many more bugs due to Fitbit lack of app updates are there.
Will not buy Fitbit again and this ones lifespan is days.
I will of course email Fitbit and tell them this
And continue sending them.
There are much better smart watches on the market.
That’s up to Fitbit

I purchased a new Charge 3.

I removed the old Charge 3 from my bluetooth connection.

Turned bluetooth off for 5 min and when turned back on the new Charge 3 is not discoverable.

I turned phone off for 5 minutes and back on.  This did not help.

I removed the Fitbit App from my iPhone and reinstalled.

The setup process starts but when the "finish now" comes up, it will not complete the setup.

I am getting an exclamation mark symbol on the Charge 3 screen with scrolling Fitbit.com/setup

--------------------------------------

In the meantime my OLD Charge 3 cannot be used because the screen went black.  It still vibrates when charged and when clicking the side button, but screen is black.  Any idea how to fix this one and Ill give to my husband. to use.

You have to unpair your old Fitbit charge 3 before you can pair the new Fitbit charge 3.
All Bluetooth devices are unique even with same model.
Any probs you tube ask how to unpair Fitbit charge 3.
To get your data transferred good idea to you tube question request HOW TO MOVE FITBIT charge 3 data to a new Fitbit charge 3.

Go to Bluetooth on your iPhone.  If it says No device found, swipe to the left or right.  You should get a message saying 'forget this device.'  Do that and follow prompts to resync it.

If it doesn't resync, plug in your phone and push the button on the left for 8 seconds. A smiley face should come up and that may resync it.

You may want to request an online chat (don't worry if there are loads of people in front of you - it doesn't take long).

I have problems every time Apple updates the software.  A friend has been having so much trouble she threw it away and bought something else.

Remember it’s size, quality and how effective it works. As a at work fit device you cannot beat it. The pairing appears to be an apple thing. If you reinstall the Fitbit Charge 3 then the app I think it resolves the problem. When the watch is big it’s not good for work. Liable to damage.
Its all about the info you require to maintain fitness. It’s reliability for the data it’s giving.
Once a baseline is achieved it’s all about improving from the baseline, and the difference is the real fitness that you have achieved.
All smart watches have baselines it’s for the individual to determine the best for them.
