My charge3 won't set up, and it won't accept the firmware update. I also have a Samsung Galaxy8. After numerous emails and two phone calls to Fitbit, it was finally suggested I try to set up on a different device, so tried on my Sansung tablet. The tracker still won't recognize the 4digit pairing code, or the suggested firmware update. I'm going to return the tracker through Amazon. So disappointed, and countless hours wasted.

I am having sync issues on a daily basis. Just to get my data to sync i am having to spend close to 1 hr daily in the morning and then at night. Restart and all that did nothing. Do we have a better solution to this issue? is there any other update that we are going to get where sync issues are fixed?
The restart process says that after the smiley face it should vibrate. There is no vibration for me, so not sure if it restarted or not. Why is everything so complicated with this device.

Same with me except my alta hr special edition operated like a charm, but with the new charge 3 this having to go to my galaxy s8 and pairing to get error messages for 10 minutes before being able to sync every day is too much.

Yes mine will lose bluetooth and nothing will do to get it to reset. Then will hrs later. Think I am getting my Alta HR special edition back out and requesting a refund. Will not be recommending. Why pay for notifications if it doesn',t stay paired!

Me too!! So frustrating, I have fibromyalgia and rely on mine. I’ve tried every suggestion going but no luck. My charge 2 worked for just over a year then stopped charging. Fitbit what are you doing to fix this? Are we all getting new devices that actually work??

Please can Fitbit let us know as soon as possible what you are doing about this problem?
Should we be sending these back for refund ? I can’t use mine at all - tried EVERY single suggestion.
I rely on mine as I have fibromyalgia. Just paid a lot of money for something that doesn’t work as good as the charge 2!

Yes, but we shouldn’t have to be doing all the work.
Mine worked fine initially, fresh out the box. It would sync all-day, send me notifications, etc. Then, the battery got low and I had to recharge the 3. Ever since, it hasn’t synced with either laptop or iPhone SE.
I spent an hour yesterday trying both with laptop connection and Bluetooth, but it never synced. I kept the Charge 3 powered up (plugged in to the charger) the entire time! There is an update that is showing up in the app, but since the phone can’t even find the device, it’s worthless! This is ridiculous!!! I’ve had at least 5 fitbits over the years, this problem should be completely gone by now, only it’s worse! My husband no longer wants a Fitbit because his surge hasn’t been able to sync but once or twice a year.
FITBIT, if you value your customers, fix this!!!!

I also have sync trouble on regular base.
After every excersise my C3 don't sync.
I do have to switch of and on the Bluetooth to get it back to work again.
I do have a Samsung s7 edge phone.

I rang Fitbit in the end. Went through loads of stuff with me. In the end I had to delete all the data on the Fitbit device (have a go should work for you it is in settings) and then it synced. Not ideal at all as I lost all the information I had wanted from that day and night.
The guy said that Fitbit are working on this! Come on fitbit! Your reputation is at stake!!

Fitbit worked with me over the phone twice. Mt C3 would sync, but then not accept firmware update or set up to be used. Never had any data, because the screen wouldn't scroll.
They kept saying it was a problem using Bluetooth to download the firmware, but the app/tracker would only instruct me to do that through bluetooth.
After a week of multiple emails (giving be wrong info)I was afraid I'd run out of time to return it through Amazon, so shipped it back yesterday.
I hope fitbit gets it fixed, I really wanted
A waterproof tracker that doesn't cost $200+.

I’m on my second Charge 3 after the first stopped working on Day 2 and never synced again despite following the steps. The new one stopped last night again two days in... I’m going to go to store today and see if any of the suggestions in this chain work (and because I did not bring the cable)
ugh! Even if it starts again I’m not sure I’m keeping it

Mine finally starting syncing again. Not sure what worked but I disabled the bluetooth on my Ipad and Samsung S8 and did all of the unpair/reset and then connected it to my iphone 7 and then the Samsung. It has been working the last few days....crossing fingers that they did something to fix it for good. The only thing is I don't understand why it counts steps when I'm hardly moving. I get out the bed and have 600 steps just walking to the bathroom. Weird.

I have the same issues including that it will not restart. I have not seen any response to all the reports of the restart process not working. Mine is going back to the store. These issues seem to be well known and common with no real fix beyond luck.

Me too! FB said to not return it, and they would get back to me in a day. That was a week ago. Best Buy will get it back with a few words.

After reading through this thread and other threads with the known/common problems. I returned mine. I am very disappointed as I had been waiting for the Charge 3 to come out to get one but clearly it should still be in Beta testing. This product is not ready for the market. I hope Fitbit works out all the MANY bugs but no one should have to invest so much time into trying to make it work after purchasing it.
