Hi there @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this situation. Thank you so much for troubleshooting the syncing difficulties with your Charge 3 prior to contacting us.
While reading your post I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
I'd like you to confirm if you've followed all the steps provided in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
If so, let's try turning off Background Restrictions/Limitations: Phone settings > Apps & Notifications > Fitbit app > Background restrictions or Background limits.
Then, disable battery limitations:
Please give the steps above a try to improve syncing with your tracker. Keep me posted, I'll be around.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

If you have an Android app, try go to system settings then Apps then the Fitbit App.
Now force it to stop the App completely. Now start the app the usual way and try if synching works.
I have to do this every two days or so because the app just refuses to find the watch.

It drives me completely mad when I am asked if I have followed advice in Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
YES I DID that is why I told you I did.
At least this time some further suggestions have been made. I have a huwawei honor 10 lite.
it would cost me a prohibitive and ridiculous amount of money to buy a new phone every time i buy a new device-
I have tried going to my phone settings, apps, fitbit app but cannot see background restrictions/limits.

I hate this thing. Spentb40 minutes yesterday trying to male it sync. Recent events say life is too short to spend absurd amounts of time on things that should jusy work. Only way is to reinstall app. But then I have to change all the wetting, for example now it is constantly sys cong who h I do not want as it wastes battery redu ing the life of the device. It takes about 10 mins to reset settings to what I want them to be. Driving me insane as have to work out each tone how or reset the settings. Waste of my time.
