Charge 3 won't sync

Try these steps - 

1. Put the fitbit in the charging cradle, and plug it into a power source (USB port of your laptop or charger).2. Push down the button on the left side of your fitbit.  After 8-10 seconds you should get a smiling face.3. Is the fitbit loaded on your smartphone?  4. From the mail fitbit page on your phone, tap the icon on the upper left to go to the account page.5. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your smartphone.6. Toward the bottom of the page tap +Set up a Device7. Follow instructions from there and get back to me.  Good luck

Done all of these multiple times. Turned off the blue tooth to disconnect the fitbit. Waited, turned Bluetooth on, verified Fitbit not yet connected, do the charging, getting the smiley face, clicking on my icon, and then it starts looking. And 5 minutes later it tells me to disconnect from Bluetooth - which I check and it’s not.

This happened after you did a software update. It was working/synching just fine and then it wasn’t. Hasn’t synched in weeks. I’m saving up to buy an Apple Watch.

I have had problems too but still love my charge 3. When it happens I go and “unregistered” the fit bit. Yep I lose all Data that has not been syncs then register it again and all is good. Don’t give up on the device if you like it.

Turn off you smartphone and then turn it back on after about a minute or so - to reset the fitbit software in your phone.

This still doesn't work for many people, it's a app glitch, BUT I went back to version 3.23 of the Fit bit app and it's working perfect. It found the tracker in 5 seconds and asked for 4 digit code. Put that in and it syncs, updates and works PERFECT now. Using this on the Samsung Galaxy Note20.

I had the sync problem also. But found a working solution. Uninstall the app. Restart the phone then install version 3.23 of the Fitbit app and bam it works perfect. Updates and syncs fine now. Also have to turn off auto update app so you can stay with that version. It's at least a fix for now. Using it on a Note20 and it found it and updated it and syncs just as it should.

A few days ago my Motorola E5 Play (at least I think that's what it is) refused to load the latest software upgrade.  I tried everything that has worked in the past - and then noticed that bluetooth was turned off in the phone - darned phone was stuck in Airplane mode!!!  Of course I hadn't changed that option - my smartass phone has a mind of its own.  Go Figure!!!  Peace and Love, Dave

What worked for me was putting both the Charge 3 and the phone on charge, and then selecting Sync Now.

Hello!

I have tried all the steps as mentioned. I have unpaired... reset... reinstalled the app and nothing is working. I can't tell you how frustrating this is. I want a working product. This is what I paid for. 

What would you suggest my next step is?

Not sure when you purchased it but it might be worth your while to go back
to the store and ask them. If you bought it on line then maybe a chat with
a Fitbit person might help!

I moved to a Samsung Active Watch long ago.  I had been a fitbit fan for years.  Customer Service basically told me they knew the Charge 3 had issues but would not replace the watch.  Hope it works out for you.

I had a substantial number of Withings devices and after similar issues with
their devices - more hardware related, I switched to Fitbit. There was a
great deal of traffic first identifying issues, then asking for support,
product replacement and finally substantial trashing, of Withings. Fitbit
may be headed in the same direction if they do not replace defective
products and provide appropriate support.

I bought it from Currys... so it will be a trip back to them after lockdown!

This is pointless I have already gone through the trouble shoot myself and with the customer service representative. They said they will have to look into it and email me back. When I was emailed I wasnt given and explanation of whats going on they just told me its not covered on the warranty here's a discount code for another one. And then I asked well whats wrong is there a fix and I just keep getting its. It not covered under warranty. They have no answer on why this is happening and there Best solution is to tell someone just get a new one instead.

Seems like they are purposely screwing up the Charge 3 so we buy the charge 4... which I got so frustrated with my charge 3 constantly not syncing and not tracking workouts correctly, etc etc - that I did just that with their black friday sale. Ugh why did I do that lol should have bought a galaxy watch instead. Its just the size I like of the charge model. UGH.

Yeah. I had galaxy fit and 2  before but I only switch to fitbit because I lost my gear fit 2 while traveling. But definitely going back to galaxy. I gave my original gear fit to my uncle and its been working fine for the past 5 years with no issue.

I have the exact same problem. I did everything and still not working. It works the first time once I unpair, reboot etc... but then the charge 3 is not syncing anymore ... so annoying and I’m thinking to give up ...

I gave up. My Charge 3 is sitting in a drawer and I bought a devise with a
different brand. --
