Hello, I have just purchased a Charge 4. I was configuring ans pairing it with smartphone app. I was in the "app" section in Fitbit Android app, and tried to install SpO2, but "install" button is grayed out, and I get a red warning that the Android app and firmware of device must be updated to latest version before installing this app on it.
Now, my Android app is for sure up to date, whereas the firmware my charge 4 came with is the 20001.96.29.
What am I missing to be able to install SpO2 on my charge4?

Hi everyone, the Sp02 app was visible in error for a short period of time yesterday. Currently, it's not available on Charge 4. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please keep an eye out for future updates.

I'm also having literally the exact same problem. Just bought my watch yesterday and I also can't install the SpO2 app. Can't really seem to find much online about it either.

It is a new feature? I am also unable to install it, all the apps in "ALL APPS" are checked except SpO2. The firmware version is 96.29.

I also have the same problem. From yesterday, I've chatted with Fitbit supporters for 4 times already, and still cannot install the SpO2 app/clock face. The Fitbit supporters told me to update iOS to the latest version, then restart the Charge 4 device and reconnect the device. I tried to do that a few times, but still not able to install the SpO2 app. Now I can't even have a chat with Fitbit supporters, the website keeps leading me to this community forum instead of connecting to the supporters

Same issue. After a research we have to select the "clock face SPO2" before the installation but there isn't in the clock faces

Hi Kate, so all Charge 4 devices cannot install the SpO2 app/clock face? Or the SpO2 app/clock face is currently in error?

+1 for this as a feature. What is the point of an SPO2 sensor if it is hardly used

Will there be a oxygen clock face or app for the Charge 4?
if not I’ll have to return it

So I take it that this is coming soon? Any ETA you can hint at? 🙂

I have a new Charge 4, which I generally like quite a bit.
However, I bought it primarily to track my nightly HR and O2 levels, as I have mild sleep apnea.
I am able to see EOV (O2 variations), but can't figure out how to see actual SPO2 levels. Is there a way to see SPO2 levels from the previous night, or even right now while I am awake?
I also don't know how to see HR readings from the previous night, although I can see my current HR.
I have looked through the Charge 4 info, but haven't been able to find an answer.
I would welcome some advice.
Thanks!

Hello @AgeProf and welcome to the Help forums. Fitbit's sleep SpO2 is shown as that EOV graph on all models that support it. There is no current SpO2 app like the one that was describes by the OP for the Charge 4. The Ionic, Sense, and Versa family have this and it is reported in the Health Metrics (a Premium feature). No Fitbit model gives you a graph with numbers. Fitbit doesn't give awake SpO2.
As for your sleeping heart rate, there is a sleeping heart rate graph that is also a Premium feature.

Thank you, LZeeW!
This is the clearest description of what is (or is not!) available with the Charge 4. I will have to decide whether to keep the Charge 4, or try to return it (after I have worn it for a few days).
You mention that some Health Metrics are available on other Fitbits, and/or require a Premium description.
Is there a Table somewhere that explains clearly the actual functions that are available on each model, and whether or not they require a premium description. I have looked and looked, but cannot find a clear description.
Thanks!
Thank you KateFitbit.
Just to clarify - how likely is it that an SpO2 app may be available in the future for the Charge 4?
I was disappointed to learn that my Charge 4 does not actually provide an SpO2 reading, either concurrently or overnight (contrary to some of the promotional information that led me to purchase the Charge 4 in the first place).
I am just trying to decide whether to hang on to the Charge 4 (which generally seems to work great otherwise), or try to return it after wearing it for a week.
Thank you.

This really needs to be addressed or might as well buy a Garmin tracker which has had SPO2 for quite some time

KateFitbit, thanks for the clarification. Will an SpO2 sensor be available for the Charge4 in the next 6 months?

So after purchasing the premium package Fitbit charge 4 owners still cannot acess the Health Metrics info as of today which is Dec. 31, 2020. Why is that when older models can get the app.????

I've just purchased the Charge 4 because it was advertised as having SPO2 functionality, it appears the fitbit marketing material of the product is totally misleading. Please can someone from Fitbit justify their marketing description of the product?

I read something today that was published a few days ago on Feb 10, 2021, saying that the SPO2 function is now available for the Charge 4. It is not the only article on the update after I did a G search.
I just upgraded from my Alta HR to a Charge 4 three days ago, have Premium, and can find nothing on the app or the device itself about this.
