Over the last 7 days my charge 4 has only showed heart rate variability 4 times. At least now it’s showing up sometimes. I have reset the Charge 4 and my phone several times, no difference.

@MaximiliaanM Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
I appreciate the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. I'd like you to confirm that you have 3 nights of sleep data and double check that your Charge 4 has the latest firmware version.
Hope this helps.

I’ve got the same problem. I’ve only got one day of data in the last 8 days. I’ve got all the other metrics. It has missed an odd day in the past few months, but this is the longest. Resetting doesn’t seem to help any more. It is rather annoying

PS I’ve got sleep data each night and the latest firmware

I have not had HRV or breathing rate since the end of January 2021. I had both the previous 5 months. Very upsetting that this has not been resolved for me and the others who share this problem after so many reports and attempts to follow the boilerplate instructions given in Fitbit responses. My notifications on this site have been re.oved for not being a positive experience. I'd like to have a positive experience to report regarding customer support.

Mcrox. I too have not had hrv show. I too have contacted customer service and they have not been able to solve my problem.
I am starting to wonder if it is me. By any chance, do you have an irregular heart beat? I do, not afib but a condition where my heart might have several irregular beats in an hour. I ask because I do not get hrv data on my charge 3, a charge 4, a luxe, and my wife's charge 2. However, she gets hrv values when she has used any one of the forementioned devices.

My HR is regular. I got a years free premium subscription when I bought my latest fitbit(charge4) which is due to finish in a few months. I don’t think I will be renewing it and stating to pay for it. After some initial teething problems earlier this year when the upgrade with health metrics became available, I had reliable data for all the measurements for several months- it is just the last few weeks when it has been hit and miss. I’ve only had HRV for 3 days out of the last 2 weeks and one of them jumped from around 24 to 160 then back to 22! Previously I would be 20-26

I do hope you have your a fib under control. Maybe mmp175 will get his hrv back but not us. :(. I hope I am wrong.

Got HRV for a week but then shot up to 160 then nothing for last 2 nights! I give up. It’s too unreliable now. Was great for first few months

Nope afib is not under control and that is why I wanted health metrics in September of 2020. Luckily had it for 3 months then not again but with some exceptions. Now we have 90 day history so I can be disappointed with fitbit for even get periods. There response to me has been useless.

I have posted my loss of Sleep Stages/Score, HRV, &:BR as of 8/21/21 and have gotten the same responses you’ve gotten, culminating ultimately in the statemen that “we’re working on it and will let you know when we have a resolution.” If the problem is that the Charge 4 just can’t consistently provide these measurements for some people, then shouldn’t Fitbit just acknowledge that and offer a refund.

THE FIX:
- On Fitbit app, unpair your Fitbit. (If there's any update available, do it)
- On Fitbit Charge 4, Setting>About>Reboot device.
- Uninstall Fitbit App, and install it back. (Alternatively, update it, and/or Clear app data & Cache)
- Pair the Charge 4 back.
- Sleep at least 3 hours wearing the Charge 4.
(Just to clarify, I don't know which one of these was the fix, but it doesn't hurt to do them all at once)

I have experienced this HRV not showing issue twice, and everytime the fix I wrote above works for me.
Good luck.
