Charge 4 syncing issues

I sync my charge 4 on a daily basis with the iOS app, yet it takes several minutes. Occasionally it simply times out and gives me an “couldn’t sync” error. I tried pairing it again, but still it is dog slow. 

got the latest firmware

Any thoughts?
