Charge 4 won't sync to my Android phone

Hi

I've been having this problem for a few days in that my Charge 4 won't synf to my android (Samsung). In looking at other posts, the recommendation to restart the FitBit, and then also restart the app isn't working. I've also tried disconnecting from WiFi and syncing that way but also doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Hi there, @HomeTerra. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 4 before reaching out.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following steps:

  • Unpair your Charge 4 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 4.
  • Once your Charge 4 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

Hi @MarreFitbit

Thanks for the prompt reply. This seems to have worked and the FitBit app is now showing data from my Charge 4. I'm not entirely convinced it will retain the sync though, as it didn't seem to 'connect' properly. I had to close the app (whilst it still said Connecting, after entering the pairing code), and then when I opened it, it had synced / paired. So will keep an eye on it.

I also note that the time on the FitBit is way off (30 mins). I'm hoping this will be resolved when I connect to the GPS and it starts pulling the time automatically.

For now, it seems to have worked, so thanks again!

Hi again @MarreFitbit

As I thought these steps didn't work. I've updated the FitBit app, gone through the above steps again, and it simply won't connect when I enter the pairing code.

Many thanks
