Charge doesn't last a year

Thank you for your time but I don't want another Fitbit product that doesn't last a year. (It's hard to believe!) My husband had problems with his (2) Fitbits also and has changed to another similar product that not only is cheaper, doesn't need charging as often and is waterproof. You also need to improve the band as I almost lost it a few times due to that. See what they wrote below.

Mine is dead again. They usually last 6 months. I have to find a better
option. This makes me mad. I usually go through 2 a year.

Is this really still happening regularly to Fitbit devices?  I owned an Ionic for about 15 months before it died completely.  At least fitbit offered a discount on a new device (so I tried a Versa).  But that device lasted about the same before it (overnight) stopped keeping a charge for a little more than a day.  Fitbit has offered another discount, but this time they are limiting what I can get.  Newer devices such as Versa 3 or Sense aren't even an option, and why would I want to get an outdated device?  I am seriously considering purchasing something other than a Fitbit this time around.  Most people can't afford to buy a new device every 12 to 15 months due to a company's inability to make devices that last.  Has anyone had better luck with other brands?

My replacement Fitbit lasted about 6 months. I replaced it with a knock off
I found on Amazon that does the same thing my Fitbit did and only cost $35.
I'm done giving my money to Fitbit until they last at least a year.

This is my 3rd Fitbit in as many years. They’ve each lasted 11-12 months. Most recent Charge 3 band broke within a year. Current Charge 3 has recently displayed the “lines of death” on screen. Have read mixed reviews on Charge 4. I feel like an idiot to buy yet another Fitbit when it’s likely to die within a year (or just after the 1 year warranty expires).

I avoided it for the longest time but eventually gave in and bout an
InspireHR - the band is much better made so at almost one year old, that
part is not worn at all. It’s great in all other ways but a note, their is
no stairs counter.--

Amazon has a 35 dollar version that does the same stuff. It really makes me
mad to call Fitbit and tell them it's not working. They pretend like this
isn't having to every Fitbit they sell. I'm done with them until they can
make this product last longer than this.

I have had the same problem. I have had 4 devices in 5 years.  They last about 15 months.  This last time, I received a 35% discount toward a new one, which seemed rather generous.  I went from the Versa to the Charge.  When I got the Charge, I did not like the clock face, too crowded for old eyes.  When I contacted customer support to exchange it (after 3 days) I was told I could return, but could not use the discount on another device.  The last straw.  I feel a bit foolish too for giving this company so many chances.  So I'm out.  I'll be looking for a new tracker from a different company.

I'm having same problem.   First died in 3 months so warranty covered a replacement.   The second stopped picking up pulse and sleep after warranty expired and now the screen shows nothing but black.   It does not matter how many times I've tried to reset it.   Far too expensive to be expendable in a short time.   I'm looking at alternative now.

Sorry you had the same problem with your Fitbit. I’ve been just fine without it!

I thought that it was only me.
I've had 3 Fitbit devices over the course of 2 and a half years.
Firstly with Fitbit Charge 4, it doesn't work after 8 months and got a replacement. Since Fitbit Charge 5 came out at that time, I sold the replacement I got and bought Charge 5.
After 6 months, the Screen went black and got another replacement.
The replaced device worked fine only for 8 months and it happened again in April.

I was offered with 35% discount on a new purchase but feel like it's not reliable anymore.
