Charge2 doesn't sync without wifi

My Fitbit syncs only when the phone is connected to wifi, will not sync on mobile data. Keeps on giving the error message 'no internet connection' even though the mobile data is on and working. I have been having this problem for over a year. I was promised that it would be fixed in the next release etc etc but has never been addressed.

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing without wifi connection. Have you tried a different mobile network just to test this out? Also try with a friends or relative's phone. Additionally try resetting your network settings on your phone and see if this helps resolve the issue.

I have tried all these multiple times. Nothing works. Even changed my phone last year but to no avail.
