Corrupted display

My Charge 2 has grey vertical lines behind and as wide as whatever is on the display at the time. 

 

I have tried the usual reboot to fix the problem 4 times, but to no avail.

 

Has anyone had this issue before? 

 

It is almost as if the contrast is too high
