Counting floors while flying in a plane

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi All

I did a 2 hour flight on a plane the other day and recorded 32 floors.  The next day when I flew back 29 floors were recorded.  I only went up 1 flight of stairs on both of those days.

Has anyone ever had this happen after flying?

@VikkiK Welcome to our Community! Your tracker uses an altimeter to record the floors you climbed but this can be affected by external factors. Since the airplane cabin is pressurized when everyone has boarded it and the door close I presume this is what caused the change in pressure that your tracker detected as floors climbed.

Let me know how it goes!

I am having this issue too, and wondering if there is any way to remove those floors from my activity. I am a flight attendant so I fly all the time and I'd still like to be able to use this feature to track floors climbed but I'd like it to be accurate...

@Chargold It's nice to have you on board! You could try logging a driving activity to see if it removes the floors counted although its main purpose is to remove steps incorrect counted. You can check how to log the activity in a post done by @GisselleM.

Hi

I can’t find the way to remove floors.

I recently bought a Fitbit Charge 3 which is a great, but last Sunday I took a flight and it logged 34 floors. I only did 4 floors.

I’d like to remove them. I got a Redwood Forest badge because I climbed 25 floors but that’s not true.

Regards,

Leucocito

Sorry, ignore my previous comment.

I just noticed that I’m under Charge HR. I have a Charge 3.

I am now looking at existing posts related to inaccurate floor count under Charge 3 and the help article on deleting FitBit data.
