I've had my tracker about 18 months and in the last couple of weeks it's not working properly. It doesn't log my steps when it feels like it and no amount of persuasion will convince it to start. Suddenly it starts logging again when it feels like it. Last week the screen went completely blank and refused to do anything at 25% battery. Any ideas how to fix this as getting fed up with it.

Hello @JayWE
I am sorry to read this, but I have to say this looks like your device is simply not working anymore.
Maybe a restart would help: to restart, press the button on the Charge for 8 seconds. When it vibrates and the icon appeared, it is restarting.
If this does not work, check whether or not it is still under warranty.

I believe your fitbit has to be connected to the charger to do this

You could just try rebooting the Charge 4 - I've just seen some problems with mine, I had about 8,000 steps today and jumped on the treadmill to get the last hour done ... it's now showing 9 of 10 hours but I stayed on the treadmill thinking that since I was at 9,800 steps then I'd be able to get past the 10,000 step count ... so I stayed on the treadmill for another 10 minutes (walking at 3.5mph) after 5pm and when it got to 9,998 steps it just stopped counting steps. My arm motion did not change so the data was there but clearly the Charge-4 has an internal bug. When I started this reply I rebooted the Charge-4 (settings -> about-> reboot device) and now I just got up and walked for 4 seconds and finally reach the 10,000 step goal. So now I need to go walk for another 2 minutes to get past the 250 steps and hour since it simply didn't measure anything after it stopped recording steps at 9,998.
