Display on Charge 3 stopped working

I have just had to return my Charge 3 after only buying it on 3/11/18. 

Display stopped working for no apparent reason. Store Tech said he had never seen it happen before. So replaced it. So not impressed.

So I can better assist you, can you please give me more details of what happened to your Charge 3? Is it not syncing? 

 

In the meantime, I'd recommend restarting your device by following the steps at: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Horrible answer.  You assume I did not do all of it.  Get me a replacement.  It syncs every now and then, unlike my Charge 2.  Fitbit committed fraud with this device.  The promoted a feature but did not enable it, and they have a lot of Charge 2 customers who bought only to find out that Fitbit screwed them over for a few bucks.

 

I could tolerate it if it worked.  It does not.  My Charge 2 syncs with the devices that do not work with my Charge 3.  I get device not found often with the Charge 3. 

 

I do not get that with my Charge 2.  I have reset both ways, removed and re-added to the account.  I am done.  I want action.  Put your boss on this issue.

My display is also not working. Why hasn't this obviously common bug been fixed? I tried restarting and changing the clock face. What else can I do other than kiss the cost of this thing goodbye?

I agree that there should be fix that Fitbit could do in an update. Changing the clock face has always worked for me. Shouldn’t have to do this however. Especially when you pay $150 for it. So unsatisfied and disappointed.

I brought mine back and replaced it. The new display is now unreadable.
Charge 3 is just rubbish

My Charge 3 screen went black and none of the “fixes” work. Anything else to try or do I just need to go with an Apple Watch?

I have tried the reset and changing the clock face. It vibrates but remains black. It is still tracking but that doesn’t help me when I am in the middle of a workout.

Is yours still under warranty? I did a live chat with a fitbit support
person yesterday. After trying the "fixes" again, she arranged to have a
new one sent to me at no charge.

I almost want to forget about a fitness tracker altogether. The more I think about it the more I think that is the way I’m going. It’s not worth the aggravation and it’s one less thing that I need to take up my time. We lived without them just fine. Sorry this didn’t answer your question but I’d do whatever you think is good for you. Spending more on another very expensive fitness tracker wouldn’t be my solution. But if you can afford it, great!

I agree that I won't be paying for another one anytime soon, but (so far)
they are taking care of me by sending a free replacement as I am still
under warranty.

My Fitbit Charge 3 is still not working (display not responding not connecting) Fitbit support team stated they are working on it but has not contacted me.

I contacted customer service. My defective one was under warranty, so they
sent me a new one. So far, it works better than the original one ever did.

I also contacted customer service and my new one is on the way. I am happy
to hear your new one is working better. Mine wasn’t even a month and half
old and after having one that was two and half years d, I was disappointing
to say the least. They are making it right.
