Distance and calories difference between Charge 2 and elliptical

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I do 26-28 minutes elliptical everyday. The elliptical shows 300+ calories and 10K+ distance, however, my Charge 2 shows around 250 calories and 3K. My elliptical is Sportop E850P with heart rate monitoring and user setting with age, gender, weight height etc. Why is that? Which one is more accurate? Cheers

@newcomer2018 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Thank you for your inquiry. Usually the difference you see is because these two devices use different algorithms to calculate the same activity. You would need to go to a doctor to calculate your BMR (they will test your exhalation during exercise and other things). Additionally you could simply use an online calorie calculator and see what the result is and compare it with both devices. Still I can't comment on the accuracy of other devices that aren't Fitbit related as I don't have the knowledge to do this. You can see how your calories are calculated by Fitbit here.

Let me know how it goes!
