I went on a run and started a workout on my Fitbit and stopped the workout when it said .75 miles. However, in the app it says I only ran .66 miles. Is there a reason it does this?

Best AnswerThanks for replying @MeylinP! I believe this happens everytime I use it... I haven't noticed it when I track walking but I know it happens everytime I run. I do look at distance a lot more when I run versus when I walk. Attached is an image of my Charge HR after I completed the workout and then one after I synced it to my phone... This just bothers me because it throws of my pace and such... and it doesnt seem to be consistant either.
This has occurred multiple times with walking for me. I use my Charge HR to meet my goals and then the app does not reflect the same data. Not possible to track progress reliably and discouraging to say the least. Getting so tired of having to search for solutions to the shortfalls and attempt muliple fixes... This started after my last update... I hate updates because they all too frequently lead to a new set of problems.

It's nice to see you around the Forums @Willow13, how's everything going?
Thanks for bring this issue to my attention, I'd recommend doing these steps:
Test your buddy and app after doing those steps and let me know the outcome!

That happens every time I run using the workout tracker feature as well! I know the distance that I run and the app shortens it anywhere from .2miles or more. I also notice that the workout tracker measures more steps than the alta tracker. It is indeed very frustrating and forgot support has not been any help. It is indeed very frustrating!
Best AnswerHello! The past few times I’ve hiked my fitbit tracks further than what my app reflects. Currently my fitbit tracker shows 5.81 miles but my app only shows 3.62. This is a significant difference. I’ve tried the steps outlined to log out, turn off Bluetooth, restart tracker, turn off phone, etc and it didn’t change. Is there any other suggestions you have?
