Just upgraded from the Charge 2 to the Charge 3 and was confused as to why some of the features on the 2 were better. Currently only able to track elliptical workouts through the "auto recognition" feature, meaning I cannot see how well I'm doing during the workout. Would love to see the elliptical shortcut back, as well as maybe some other common workouts such as the stepper?

See Can I reorder the exercise shortcuts on my Fitbit device?

Thanks for this, got in touch with Fitbit and they told me to put the suggestion on here. Looks like there has been an update since then!

Not sure but I would guess it has always been available, but many people don't realize how to modify the exercise shortcut list to get other than what is there as default.

This doesn't answer your query - but you may be able to answer mine.......

What on earth is an "elliptical" workout ?
I have found everything on google about elliptical exercise machines etc. but not a single article explains what an elliptical excercise/workout actually is.

An elliptical is an exercise machine where the feet move in an elliptical pattern, usually with the arms moving front and back.
"Elliptical" here just means any workout on an elliptical exercise machine.
