Escalator issue

Team, I have a n issue walking up an escalator. I walk the escalator up, 3 floors, but my charge 2 shows 5 floors.

Any idea? User error or device issue?

Are the escalators the height of regular floors?  Fitbit figure 10 feet is a floor.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
