Exercise stopped tracking

For some reason my charge2 stopped tracking exercise.  It last recorded something on the 25th.  However, the active minutes records correctly as does the heart rate.  I can confirm it is syncing without a problem, I am not sure if I am doing something wrong.

@Da5id I'd recommend making sure that you are that the Connected GPS requirements listed here are all met.

I'd also recommend making sure that you've enabled location services on your mobile device and that you've given permission for the Fitbit App to use your location services.

@edyeseay I'd recommend re-pairing your Charge 2 to your account by using the replacement setup process mentioned here.

Hope this helps both of you get back on track!

Everything seems to be set up correctly..  Its not auto detecting my bike rides, I just changed the setting to log after 10 minutes instead of 15.  I will see if that helps.

Hi,

I've been having the same problem too. My exercise was display on 20th October. The main dash is still registering exercise but not linking it to track exercise.

I have tried what you suggested to another member but I've found it no different....

Any ideas?

Reboot instructions suggested to solve problem
Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer.
Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your Charge 2 will begin charging.
Press and hold the button on your tracker for four seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.
Also try to uninstalling and reinstalling device

I have exactly the same problem. No exercise shown on dashboard since last Friday. Support told me I haven’t done enough for it to register but I’ve done more this week than ever.

I still wear my Charge 2 but the exercise tracker rarely works.  Every other feature works great (Active Minutes, Sleep, and Heart Rate).

I have tried all the suggestions several times but nothing has fixed it.  My best advice is to use Mapmyride for tracking any rides or runs you go on.

Hey guys, @Da5id and @Debstf, I hope you are goin' well! 🙂 Let me ask you a few questions. What type of exercises are you doing? Are you using SmartTrack (the auto recognized feature) or are you using the Multisport (the exercises on the Charge 2 itself) to record your exercises? Are you using the connected GPS?

Keep me posted!

Hi
I’m mainly doing aerobics and walking at the moment. Using Smartrack But not sure about GPS. All a bit techno for me 😱😊. How do I see if I have GPS on?

Smart track needs to see a constant movement of at least X minutes, where X is what your settings are for.

To use GPS you still want to use the multisport mode and be carrying your phone with you.

Thanks for your reply @Debstf! For aerobics there is no option to use the connected GPS, however, for walk, you can perfectly use this feature. As my friend @Rich_Laue mentioned, you can use the Multisport mode, tap the screen until you get "walk", press and hold the button to start the activity and of course be carrying your phone with you.

This is how it shows when you are have the connected GPS between your phone and your Charge 2 working perfectly.

If you have questions about how to use the Multisport mode, you can review this article.

Well I am trying to use SmartTrack, I currently have it set to 10 minutes.  I am either cycling, running, or playing basketball but it never picks up on that.  The minutes active and heart rate show I have been working for 60 minutes, but the tracker does not count it as an active day.

I am connected to my GPS and Multisport works fine.

Thanks for getting back to me @Da5id! You mentioned that you have tried several things to fix this, could you please tell me if you also tried to restart your Charge 2? If you haven't, please follow the instructions in this post to do so. Perform your activities as usual, but before you sync your tracker, please log out and log back in to your Fitbit account, finally you can sync.

Let me know how it goes!
