Exiting an option or screen

Hey. i just purchspur charge 3. My problem when i swipe left between options and press or touch , for example, alarm option, i can't exit from the alarm option after that . I try to swipe left and right, up and down . .nothing. i get stuck there😑. The only way to go to the clock screen is only if i go  to the fitbit app and choose a new clock face . 

Is there another way to do it? 

And this problem happens evertime i  press an option.

I need help .

There is a recessed button on the left side of the unit that you press to back out of apps or options. See below:

Press the side botton to go back. 

Long hold the side button for quick settings.

That doesn't work! It goes to notifications. If you press it again you are still in the app.

I have a Fitbit Charge 4 and the same thing happens to me when I set for "No" on the Do Not Disturb, I cannot exit from that screen. 

When I use the back button it doesn't keep the change. When I reset, it sets with Do Not Disturb so I am not getting phone notifications. (BTW, my phone Bluetooth is connected to the Fitbit.)

Any answers...anyone?
