Fitbit Charge 2 Just Died

Purchased this piece of Garbage September 2016 so not even 2 years old.  Yesterday it simply died.  Went totally dark.  Will not turn on.  Will not charge.  Nothing.  Nada.  A brief online search suggests this is a fairly common occurrence with Fitbit.  I also notice that Fitbit share price (FIT) is now down to $5.00 a share (all time low).  Seems to me this company won't be around much longer and my conclusion is this is a reflection of the junk products these people manufacture.  I'm assuming it's probably a waste of time to even try to contact Fitbit and see if there's a possible resolution.  Anybody think otherwise?

@Bondtrader Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear that your tracker isn't working. Try cleaning the tracker's contacts with a toothpick or toothbrush and then use cotton with rubbing alcohol (use this to clean the charger too). Plug the tracker for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port or use an UL Listed usb wall adapter. After this try restarting your tracker (even if you don't see any activity on it) by doing the following:

Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.

You could always let Support know about this to see what they can do for you. A simple email shouldn't take too much of your time but still I suggest you try the instructions above and let me know.

I look forward to your reply!

Mine did the same thing just two days ago and now spent ten minutes getting the run around from FitBit support person.  The warranty is only one year for Charge 2 so too bad so sad.  The rep explained how much they want me to stay in the FitBit family an offered me a coupon for purchase of another model.  This is really disappointing that a $100 device is expected to last ONE YEAR, two at best!  I'm not sure I planning on staying with this family if these devices are "disposable" and simply becomes a contributor to electronic trash.

Not happy, very not happy.
