Hello! I'm trying to follow your instructions but when I try I get a window saying:
"Time and duration specified are in the future"
when they clearly are not.
Any suggestions?
Here's a screen shot of what I'm seeing.

Hello @MichaelB3 your screen shot does not provide emotion info. Was the duration more than 35 minutes?

Your right, this will not work.
12:12 + 30 minutes equals 12:42. At 12:42 you are still in the water swimming.
Your phones time says 12:42,
Wait until 12:43 then you will be able to log your swim. Or log your swim as 29 minutes.

@frecklyirish. No one said that you can't swim with it, and yes as you stated, it will detect several types of swim strokes.
The Charge 2, like any other device is not water proof. You can't even "legally" call a rain coat "water proof", simply because it is always possible of a failure
Legally it is called Water Resistant, with an explanation of to how deep or how much pressure it may endure.

Id be interested to know if they will fix what they did to you i just left a phone company for a very similar situation so im hoping that I am never in a situation where the company wants to be done with u so bad and its so hard to communicate or understand the tech support things get all sideways bc im sure if u called it swindled it probably was a poor excuse for a discount also. But I do wear my charge 2 painting and wash my watch off underwater almost daily for 8 months or so and it seeks fine I was under the impression that its at least supposed to be water resistant there's no speaker just the charging posts I guess that water could prob ruin who knows my band broke in about a week and I am yet to see one in the store im sure its half the price online anyways hope u get something better shouldn't have to pay for their mistake bud I always tell customer service if im on the phone another hour or two thats long enough for me to have paid for a better watch if I hadn't been on the phone Walmart has some nicer ones now around 50
I like to deal with a person face to face thats whats wrong with these ppl they hide behind a phone and tell u anything to make a sale or even worse have no clue what they are talking about sorry pilot Mike im not getting another fit bit either I got my girlfriend a I watch and its not even the same ballpark sure it was 300 bucks but it will last as long a 300 dollars worth of fit bits my band has been messed up since about the second week I had it I like knowing my steps and distance and heart rate at work but other than tha

Hi everyone and welcome to our new members.
As some of you know, the Charge 2 is water-resistant, which means it's rain-proof and splash-proof and can stand up to even the sweatiest workout. For this reason, it's not recommended to wear it when swimming or showering. On the other hand, you can always manually log any water activity in your Fitbit account to get credit for your efforts. See this help article to learn more about what Fitbit devices can track your swim activities.
I wanted to inform you that I'm going to close this thread from further comments as we'd like to keep threads on topic or tailed to a specific topic to avoid confusion. I'd encourage you to create a new thread in the Help Forums if you have any other question, that way you can have more chances to receive help from the Community members. Note that you can always visit our Help Site where you can find information about our products and features, as well as troubleshooting steps.
