So recently I received a Fitbit charge 2 from my sister as a Christmas present but for some reason the darn thing just refuses to update. Everytime I try the app either fails to connect to my fitbit or it shows the update progress bar but goes nowhere before it quits. I have tried restarting my phone and tracker numerous times but no luck. Any suggestions?

I restarted both my device and phone and cleared my bluetooth settings as well as made sure location permission was on but still nothing. I might add I received my fitbit used so I am not sure if that makes a difference or not
