Hi Everyone,
Ive had my Fitbit Charge 3 for nearly a week now and was working fine up until last night.
When I woke up this morning the screen was not working and it wasn’t syncing with the app.
One the back of the device, there is a green and red light constantly flashing.
Ive tried pressing the side buttons and I have tried putting it on charge but neither are working.
Does anyone one have any tips on what to do?
Thanks

Which fix doesn't work? You need to be more specific.
Holding the button while on the charger for 10, 30, and more than 60 secs did not work for me either.
Does your Charge 3 sync to the app? If it does sync, this indicates that it is still collecting data even if you can't see it on your Charge 3.
If you sync your Charge 3 to your app, you should be able to see the symbol for battery level in the upper left corner of the app next to the symbol of your device. It will be either red, yellow, or green. Make sure there is some charge (yellow or green) on your Charge 3. Some here have indicated in earlier posts that their Charge 3 came back after finding it was not fully charged and doing a full re-charging of it.
---------------------------------------------------
This fix below did work for me and has for many others here.
The solution that worked for me with iPhone 7+ and iOS 12.1.4.
1) Open the Fitbit App on your smartphone, tablet, or where ever you have the app installed and using it. (Make sure it syncs.)
2) Go to the screen settings (grey icon in the upper right corner of the app), then <clock face>.
3) Change the clock face to any other, and save.
4) Re-sync your Charge 3
5) Check to see if the screen is back and the screen swipe now works properly on your device. (It did on mine.)
6) (Optional) Go back to settings in the app and change back to the desired screen/clock, the re-sync again. All should be back to normal at that point.
If that does not work, you may need to contact FitBit support and have them walk you thru all the other possible fixes. They can also arrange a replacement if they find yours to be likely defective after working with you to fix it.

Hope this helps.

My fitbit display died as well. Looking at this newfeed, I tried the solution of putting the fitbit on the charger and holding the side button for 8 seconds, and my display did finally come back.
Thanks!

This, for me, is the "Accepted Solution". I read other posts about keeping your finger on the button. It wasn't until I followed these steps and put my Charge 3 in the plugged-in charging clip, however, that it started to work. Just a finger on the button wasn't enough. Thanks!

Open the app on your smart or tablet. Go to settings and change the clock face.
That should work.

On the app, try changing the clock face. Pressing the side button did not work for me, but selecting a new clock face seemed to reset the screen.

If your screen is black make sure the watch fully charged and synced, then place your watch in the clip while its plugged into the socket. Then just squeeze the watch while it's in the clip for 10 seconds and you will get smiley face

try plugging you fitbit 3 in to the charger then press and hold the side button for 8 seconds and a smiley face should come on your screen it will be reset then and should work

Did it work,
1. Make sure watch is charged and synced with phone or computer.
2. clip must be plugged into socket
3. Place watch into clip in squeeze the sides of the watch while it's in the clip.
