Fitbit Charge 3 stuck on “connecting”

Can someone help me? I haven’t used my Fitbit for a few months, and now that I am trying to do so again, I’m basically locked out. At first the issue was that I was getting an error screen and it stayed frozen. I let it die, charged it again, and it’s working, but now I can’t pair it with my phone. When I try to, my phone finds it, and it gets stuck on “connecting”

The date and time are wrong on the Fitbit and I’m guessing that may have something to do with it, but there’s no way to fix that without having it paired.

I’ve made sure my software on my iPhone is up to date, I’ve turn the Bluetooth off for 10 seconds and on again, I’ve disconnected all my other Bluetooth devices, I’ve rebooted the phone, I’ve rebooted the Fitbit, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app, I’ve tried to synch it from my iPad, I’ve done the whole process that moderators have told other people to follow and nothing works. I don’t know what to do at this point. You’d think a $150 device wouldn’t lock you out entirely as a result of not using it for a short period of time. Can anyone please help?
