Fitbit Charge 3 will no longer sync

I have a fitbit charge 3 and have been loving it for the last year. However, the last time that the device synced to my Samsung J6+ phone was the 28th October (Date of post is 12/11/2020). I have checked many other fitbit forums and have done everything that has been asked of me and still nothing will work. I have tried refreshing, unsyncing on app and forgetting from bluetooth. I have tried also to connect it to a chromebook. I have now completely unsynced from all devices but when I try to resync it will give me my four pin code and then will just sit on there for ages. I have left both devices on this step for over an hour. I have also noticed that there are many people who have left very similar reviews on the google play store. Please can anyone provide any answer I believe that this will help me and many others. Thank You.

@Tasha_26 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your Charge 3 not syncing and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. You can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

By the way Fitbit devices aren't compatible with Chromebooks and OS they have.

Let me know how it goes.
