My Fitbit account is tied to my Strava account. GPS data is set to ALWAYS allow. Strava app was closed. Phone in pocket. Cycling activity started at beginning of ride.
I finished the ride and held the button to finish the activity. Fitbit says I only went 3 miles via GPS and didn't track the entire route . Although the track the Fitbit communicated to Strava shows the entire 10 miles. Additionally it appear my heart rate activity at the 3 mile mark stops tracking. It flatlined at like 180bpm for the remaining 7 miles on according to Strava.
How can Strava still track an activity accurately via Fitbit but FITBIT can't even track it properly?

@jeremy_283 Thanks for joining us! Not sure why this happened but I suggest you make sure your phone is a compatible one that can sync with your tracker then log out from the Fitbit, restart your phone and log back in. After this retry using the Connected GPS feature, make sure your phone has a good GPS signal before starting the activity. You can also restart your tracker by doing the following:
Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
Finally go to your bluetooth settings and forget your tracker, retry the syncing and connecting via GPS.
Let me know how it goes!

I wonder why if I record the same run from fitibit and from the strava app, not only the two give me different speeds, but even they differ in the analysis of the splits, for example fitbit gives me as fastest at the first lap/km and then slower and slower, while strava says my 7th km was my fastest.
