Fitbit app new design

Hate the new dashboard since recent update , My wife will no longer use her fitbit because of it, some comments on here refer to it being BETA , and we shouldn't have taken the option if we new that ????  How long does BETA take till its fixed / scrapped.     I recently uninstalled the Fitbit APP to fix one of the frequent sync issues. On reinstalling it I have the Old dash board back ..  Trying the same "trick" on my wives android tab this dis not work . Figure that ??    I can only hope my version is not updated back to the rubbish version. 

 

Shame Fitbit can't be more helpful in resolving this …

Hi @Altrick  the current dashboard is not beta. It's been released to all users of the Fitbit app. Which version of the dashboard did your wife have? I have the 3.5 and it works fine. It takes a bit of adjustment, but it's not much different from the 3.4 release.

Are you for real ?  The current version is nothing like the original .  read the forum comments . The only likes seem to from Fitbit moderators .    

My Wife has the latest version as had I until I reinstalled the app yesterday via Playstore I now have the original Pre Beta update ..  I can only hope I can resist all future updates and keep it so till I am ready to switch to another make. (garmin)  

My Wife is fully up to date but will no longer use her Fitbit due to the Crap Dashboard.   I do not understand why hers did not reinstall the earlier version like mine did. 

Its probably irrelevant now anyway since all confidence with Fitbit is long gone

I wanted to let you know, that we didn't released any Beta version for the Fitbit App.  We do not recommend  to use another version of the app, but the current one, as this might bring some situations with your devices. ej. devices not syncing or not receiving notifications. 

I would like to recommend you and your wife to have a look at this article where you can find more information and an overview of the features and new look of the new app dashboard. 

What’s the new Fitbit app experience?

As Odyssey13 stated. It takes a bit to get used to the new look, but afterwards you'll find the new dashboard very appealing .

@JuanFitbit saying that people “will” get used to the new dashboard and find it appealing is a crock. We are not mindless. Some might get used to it and find it appealing but others may not, and your use of the word “will” genuinely ticks me off. How exactly do you suggest I, and others like me with impaired vision, get used to something that is no longer clearly visible? I cannot get used to something I cannot see clearly and WILL certainly never find it appealing. I used to love how easily readable the app was for the visually impaired. Now? I have an overpriced wristwatch with no other functionality. It’s appalling to me the cavalier manner in which FitBit is treating its customers concerns with the newest update, especially those who have relied on their FitBits for keeping medical conditions in check or because they used to be one of the most visually accessible. Shame on you!

I am sorry to hear that you felt upset by @JuanFitbit post. I am sure he didn't mean any disrepect to you or anyone else. Also thank you for your feedback. Currently this isn't possible but you can share your idea in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exist so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.
