Frozen Screen on Charge 2

My fitbit charge 2 has been working fantastically until saturday when all of a sudden the screen froze while I was asleep. The green lights were still flashing but whenever I clicked the button or tapped the screen the same frozen image showed up of the time/date and my steps etc. I tried to reset it however this didnt work, so I unpaired it from my phone in hopes that might kickstart it, however that didnt work either. I have let the battery drain and when I plugged it into the charge it just showed up with the same screen again, it didnt even show the battery charging symbol. I tried to reset it again and it still didnt work. Now the green lights have stopped flashing all together and tapping the screen no longer works, the only thing that activates the screen is the button on the side. I'm not sure what else to do?

^^ forgot to post that I've tried resetting multiple times, with no luck.

My fitbit just froze last night (Sun 6/30/19), but the phone app appears to still be recording steps as of this morning.  This unit is actually a warranty replacement from my original Charge 2, though not sure if the warranty period resets with a replacement unit.

Guess I'll contact support to see where this issue stands...

The screen on my Charge 2 froze at on July 25th at 4:19 am. I have only had for a year and a half ! I have tried to follow instructions as per other threads here, but when I press the side button when it is in the charging track, I just see the same screen with "July 25, 4:19 am". The unit vibrates, then the screen goes blank !

Can you please advise what to do? Thank you!

Had my Charge 2 HR screen lock up on me the other day. The fitbit still synced untill the other day now it doesn't do anything. Called Customer service, was also offered the 25% off coupon like everyone else. Pretty lame, I've been a fitbit user since 2013 when I got the FB Zip and my Aria (aria still working great). I've had multiple fitbit trackers fail outside of warranty, exchanged almost no questioned asked on at least 3 different devices. Not this time. Thinking about contacting the twitter support and complaining, all the other manufacturing defects were addressed properly before till now.

Thank you dsimpson4….sounds like the accountants are now running the company !

After only a 1 and 1/2 fora product to fail, that’s unacceptable quality!

Maybe it’s time to step up to an Apple iWatch……

Hi, my fitbit 2 is frozen last night. I tried all the method to reset, but still the same. Will be letting the battery to run dry. I got it for close to 2 years so its out of warranty.

Is there nothing else I can do ...? Thanks

Perfect. That push the button while attached to the charger, worked a treat.

I had to use a micro usb cable to push the button through the charger.

Thanks ... Alf

Why is this voted the best answer? It's just giving more useless steps to try. The best answer is: "Your Fitbit is dead, if it is no longer under warranty it's garbage."

I've switched to iWatch!

Fitbit must stand behind their products .....

Software updates which render a Fitbit inoperative is unacceptable!

You must replace!
