I’ve just completed a 5k run and Fitbit has recorded the GPS Map correctly. But says I only ran .27km.
It copied the map through to Strava along with incorrect numbers.
Ive just checked Fitbit again and it has now cut the map down to reflect the reduced distance.
what is happening?

It’s not a problem with GPS. It’s the way the information from the GPS was interpreted.
The entire run was recorded and shown on the map. The run was a single loop but near the end I crossed my initial path to get to the finish. Fitbit then decided that I had run from my start point to the point I crossed my path on the way back, and then on to the finish.
