GPS map distance is incorrect

Hey I am having issues with my fitbit not measuring my runs accurately.

Today I went for a 5km run - have done this same one many times - fitbit measured it as 6.5km. Oddly the mapping is perfectly accurate so I do not understand how the distance is so off?

I have my GPS settings on so my thinking is surely it should be pretty accurate.

Any ideas how to fix this?

@Ameique Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your GPS distance. Lets try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.
