Gps map not tracking all my run

After my fitbit ap had an update, everytime I go for a run the map is not tracking my route. It records a straight line for about 100 yards. The actual distance recorded is shorter than the actual distance ran. Often about a mile out. Is there a way to fix this?

Make sure that you have a gps lock. 

When is this line. Beginning or middle?

The line appears at the start of the run then disappears after the first
100 yards. Before I start my run the fitbit is connected and locked with
the GPS. I also carry my phone with me. The map and GPS have worked well
for over a year when I first got my fitbit 3, but since the last update on
the fitbit ap this problem keeps occurring and I haven't been able to
accurately measure any runs.

The run tracking is simply totally off now - what's up with Fitbit? No point in this anymore....
