Been wearing my Charge 2 for six months or so. In the last day or so one of the green heart monitor lights stopped flashing and my heart rate has shown as -- ever since. I have restarted it and done all the things that I saw other people on these forums doing as a remedy and it's not working. It's still one light flashing and the other is dimmer and not flashing.

@throwin9t Thanks for joining us! Did you contact our Support Team like @SunsetRunner suggested? What did they tell you? You can try turning the hr sensor off, sync your tracker then turn it on or auto and sync again. Clean the sensor with cotton and rubbing alcohol and retry the restart 3 times in a row by doing the following:
Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
Let me know how it goes!

I don't have any green lights on my Charge 2. I've followed all your steps, but still no luck.
I live in Qatar. Is there an approved agent I can take it to to have it checked?

@Lou-b-lou Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry to hear about your issue and thank you for taking the time to try my suggestions. At this point the best thing to do is letting Support know about the issue so they can review your trackers information and provide options. I noticed that you have already contacted them so I wanted to know if they were able to help you?
I look forward to your reply!

@Lou-b-lou sorry to hear that! There is no factory reset for the Charge 2 but I ask you to please get back to Support and explain them that you tried their suggestions but the tracker remains the same. They are the ones that could provide a replacement following Fitbit's warranty.
Keep me posted on the outcome.

@MsPrincess Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear about your damaged Charge 2 and for the delay in my response. Sadly when Support can't replace your tracker is due to your tracker being outside the warranty period. Did they offer you anything or just said to purchase a new tracker? Hopefully the had some options for you.
I look forward to your reply!

The average lifetime of this device is 2 years. Mine did the same and customer service refused to acknowledge this issue that many of us are having. Please DO NOT SUPPORT FITBIT any longer. Their devices are made to break after a certain time so you have to buy another for them to continue to make money. Please do NOT support this motto. These devices are not made to last. I am going to find another brand/device that cares about their customers and QA in their products. I went from having a HR to a charge 2 and loved fitbit but with this issue and how i was treated- Fitbit has lost a customer for life.

I tried your fix and prior to trying this, I had one flashing green light, now I have one dimly lit constant light. Now what, please?

I'm now on my 3rd replacement as the first two broke within the first year.
By the time I got this 3rd one, there was only a month left on the warranty and now, just over a year later I've got this problem.
Worked absolutely fine one minute, then I noticed the HR monitor wasn't working with no green lights, but I've also noticed the battery is draining within 2 days now, as opposed to at least 5 or 6 days last week.
I'm not even going to bother with the so called tech support as they only have 2 solutions which aren't techy at all:
In warranty= replace it
No warranty = here's a couple of quid off an equally expensive unreliable product.
I will never buy a fitbit again.
Had 3 now and the longest it has lasted is 14 months.

@Ashish49 It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your Charge 2 heart rate sensor not working and thank you for reaching out to our Support team. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device. Also if the issue persists then let our Support team know too as the problem persists.
Keep me posted.

I have the same issue. One day I noticed that my charge 2 device was not measuring my hearbeat. I found that only one green light was turned on and not flashing. After few days both the green lights went off and no heartbeat measurement ever since.
I contacted the customer support but they couldn't resolve the issue. Since my device was out of warranty period, they simply asked me to purchase a new device and sent me few promo code on older fitibt model.
I can see that lots of fitbit charge 2 users have been facing this same issue for long time. The original post is dated back to 2017. There are lots of other thread where people posted the same issue. But instead of resolving the problem, Fitbit people simply ask users to purchase a new device (if not under warranty). I love fitbit charge 2 and would have love to bought the latest version had the company shown some initiative to resolve the issue. What if I buy a new device and it stops working after 13 months. Then I'll get the same response. It is really shameful to know that Fitbit is in the business of making USE & THROW devices and which last few years and are forcing people to buy their latest model. With this ideology, I would rather prefer to switch to other brands.

I had endless problems with mine refusing to sync to the point where i left it in a drawer for more than a year. I just took it out and tried pairing it again and syncing it and to my suprise it worked. Then guess what, the HR green leds packed up. I have come to the conclusion that Fitbits are unreliable junk. One saving grace is I got it cheap. Better off buying a cheap chinese one. Then that way if it goes pear shaped, you haven't lost much.
